This beautifully restored home is open for the first time as a Bed & Breakfast. Copper Lane is one of only 210 recognized historic buildings in which make Historic Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake. Original plank floors, a large veranda and lovely antiques bring you to a time past. New pillow-top European plush mattresses, duvets filled with silk, designer decor, LCD flat screens and air conditioning bring you the luxurious present.
Whether you are looking for some fun with a kindred spirit, a romantic get away or a cultural adventure, Copper Lane is the perfect starting point for all your acitivities in Niagara. Located at the centre point of the three Shaw theatres, one block from shopping, spas, galleries and museums, and surrounded by historic sites, you can walk to your heart's content.
Enjoy a full course breakfast in our guest dining room or on the veranda. Follow with a day exploring the area, shopping, golfing, cycling or strolling through history. Then relax on the veranda with a cool drink while you watch the horse-drawn carriages go by. Fill your evening with fine dining and excellent theatre or a starlit walk by the lake. Guests enjoy the use of the entire original 1871 house.
With ample free on site parking, enjoy your entire stay and never drive anywhere if you wish! Relax in the front or back gardens or stroll through the historic neighbourhood. Picnic by the Niagara River or Lake Ontario, or walk in the multitude of parks. You will also have access to a variety of books,DVD player & movies, board games, picnic baskets and blankets, local area attraction information and bicycles to explore Historic Old Town.

Breakfast
Our three course specialized breakfast will fill you for your days' adventures. Coffee,Tea,and lights refreshments available at anytime, breakfast is served at 9 am.
Breakfast will vary throughout your stay, always containing a selection of juices, yogurts and breads, a tantalizing hot entree, sweets or cheeses and steaming hot drinks. Some of our most popular entrees include: Crepes of asparagus and asiago cheese, Fritata-quiche creation, and Gingerbread pancakes with hot fruit topping.
Local and organic produce and ingredients will be used when available and in season. If you have any special dietary needs or allergies, we can accommodate all requests with a few days notice. We specialize in vegetarian, gluten free, lactose free & nut free!
Local Attractions
Niagara on the Lake:
Culture: The Shaw Festival, art galleries, museums, historical Fort George, ghost walks, mystery theatre and a great variety of food, music and arts festivals throughout the year - all within a few blocks.
Wineries: Over 25 wineries with 15 minutes driving, most with wine tasting, wine boutiques, or try a wine based cooking school.
Shopping - A variety of specialty boutiques, one block away, many antique stores in the area, large city malls and discount malls within a 20 minute drive.
Dining - A wide variety of experiences from a simple ice cream to formal tea to five course dining - a short walk away.
Golf/Cycling: Enjoy the oldest golf course in Canada or one of many other courses or driving ranges. For bikers there are over 140 km of cycling in the Niagara Region, accessible from Niagara on the Lake.
Boating: Lake Ontario and the Niagara River are just a short walk. The jet boat launch and marina for those who love the water are right in town.
Niagara Falls and St. Catherines are a 20 minute drive.
Historic Queenston and the quaint village of St. Davids are within the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and a short drive away.

Directions
Directions for Copper Lane B&B, 28 Johnson Street, Niagara on the Lake. Copper Lane is a two storey white clapboard with large veranda and 'copper coloured' drive.
Coming along the QEW from Hamilton/Toronto, take exit 38B, Glendale Ave North to Niagara-on-the-Lake. At the end of the ramp turn right and go back over the QEW. At the lights (and fast food) turn left on York Road and at the first set of lights, turn right on Airport Road. Go past the stop sign drving a few minutes to the second stop sign. Make a right at Niagara Stone Road (#55). You will enjoy a 10 minute relaxing drive passing through the town of Virgil. Niagara Stone Road becomes Mississagua Street. Go through the lights at Mary Street, past William, Centre and Gage Streets. Turn right at the next street which is Johnson. If you miss Johnson you will end up on Queen street (the main shopping/dining experience) where you can take any of the side streets one block back to Johnson. Continue along Johnson past Simcoe, Gate, Victoria and Regent. Just past the lawn bowling greens on your left, you will find Copper Lane B&B on your right.
From Buffalo, New York, follow the QEW towards Hamilton getting off at exit 38 for Niagara-on-the-Lake. At the end of the ramp, turn right and then left on York Road. Follow the same directions as above.
Crossing into Canada at the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge, follow Hwy 405 to Stanley Ave. Follow the signs to Niagara-on-the-Lake which will take you through Queenston and along the Niagara Parkway.Follow the signs to Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake and you will end up on Queen Street. At the cenataph (clock tower)turn left onto King Street. A short block turn right on Johnson and we are the third house on the left.
